"Ich war mit meiner Frau in der Haxenbraterei essen und rundum begeistert. Der Sauerbraten und die Käsespätzle waren ausgesprochen lecker und hervorragend zubereitet. Besonders gefallen hat uns auch die regionale Bierauswahl. Die sehr freundliche und aufmerksame Bedienung hat den Abend perfekt abgerundet. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und kommen gerne wieder."

"Zum flanieren gekommen. Wegen dem Ambiente geblieben. Kurzum. Direkt beim Parkhaus gelegen, wenige Schritte, Innenstadt, und schon fällt die Haxenbraterei auf. Essen: Hier gibt es von Schäufele, über Haxen zu Schnitzel (Schwein/Pute) alles was das Herz begehrt. Wahlweise kommen diese Hauptgerichte mit Coburger Klösen, Bratkartoffeln oder frischen Schwarzbrat. Empfehlung: Haxe mit Klösen (17,90€ - Stand 06/2024) Getränke: Dazu gibt es nicht viel zu erwähnen. Viel Auswahl. Bier für 4,20€ Service: Die sehr freundlichen und zuvorkommende Bedienung übertrifft im besonderem Maße die übliche "deutsche" Gastfreundlichkeit. Man fühlt sich rund um wohl und jeder Wunsch wird quasi von den Lippen abgelesen. Das Lokal ist weder überlaufen, noch heruntergekommen. Der Aussenbereich lädt zur Beobachtung von Menschengruppen ein. Aufjedenfall eine Empfehlung für gut bürgerliche Küche!"

"Waren heute zum 2 x im ehemaligen „goldenen Hirschen“ jetzt Haxenbraterei. Sehr gemütlich und urig wie zu alten Zeiten.Sehr schöne große neue Theke und gutes frisches Bier. Die Sonntagskarte lässt keine Wünsche offen. Sauerbraten sehr lecker , nur beim Schäufele war die Kruste leider labberig. Aber auch die Schnitzel sind aus der Pfanne und sehr lecker."

"Wir waren am 8.11.2025 (zufällig auch Geburtstag) hier eingekehrt. Der Sauerbraten war richtig lecker, super zart und geschmacklich top. Die Coburger Klöße sind dann eher nicht unser Fall, sie waren einfach zu weich. Das Ambiente war mega, genau so wie wir es lieben, urig und gemütlich. Das Kellnerin war obertop, freundlich und aufmerksam. Wir durften sogar länger bleiben, als eigentlich geöffnet war, was uns riesig gefreut hat. Am Nachbartisch wurde viel gelacht, was die Stimmung noch schöner gemacht hat. Rundum ein sehr gelungener Abend."
